Born in Alexandria, Egypt. Completed studies at Maraslios Teachers College, in Athens and was teaching in the Greek community High Schools for about eight years. Arrived in the United States in June 1967, and attended and completed a Bachelor's degree at Columbia University. continued with a 60-credit program in the Psychology department, at Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2004 acquired a Philosophy degree in Psychology, at the University of Natural Medicine. Dr. Samas is a certified Graphoanalyst, and speaks besides English, Greek, French and Arabic. Dr. Samas is trained in hypnosis, biofeedback, family and marriage therapy. An expert in individual and group therapy, has also worked for New York State as a Psychologist II with mentally deficient individuals for 18 years. Dr. Samas have been the director of The Queens Counseling & Psychiatric Services, P.C. for the last 28 years.

Dr. Pappas graduated with a diploma in Medicine from the National University of Athens, Greece. He completed his pediatric training at Beth Israel Medical Center and a fellowship in clinical genetics accredited by the Department of Human Genetics of Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Pappas is board certified in pediatrics and clinical genetics and from 1995 to 2001 was an attending Clinical Geneticist at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC.
